DETAILS
PLEASE DO NOT BRING DOGS
First come first serve. No reservations.
Rides will be on the half hour starting at noon.
We will have Pelican Ice and Dana's Couture Dawgs at the gate selling hot dogs and cool treats while you wait for your ride. We can accomodate a group up to 10 people. Children are welcome and encouraged but must be accompanied by an adult. Please advise your children and adults unfamilar with electric fence to stay clear of all fencing so nobody gets a shock! We suggest boots or closed toe shoes. PurpleDonkey.org
WHAT TO BRING
Your curiosity, a smile, friends and family and your camera. We suggest you wear boots or closed toe shoes. Leave everything else in your car. Very young children are fine but all children must be accompanied by an adult. For safety please have no more than 2 children per adult.
WHAT NOT TO BRING
1. PLEASE NO DOGS !!! We love dogs but they will be very disruptive and upsetting to our animals along the fenceline and its way to hot to leave them in the car.
2. Before entering the farm please remove jewlery and empty pockets of EVERYTHING except your phone and camera. Leave everything in your car. Donkeys are curious and we don't want our babies ingesting an earing or worse. Small bits of paper or metal or plastic can serious harm or kill our very small animals. Note baby donkeys may nibble, just gently tell them no.
3. NO FOOD OR DRINKS BEYOND THE GATE. Get well hydrated before you enter. We will have a hot dog stand and the Pelican Ice truck selling food and drinks at the gate. We are busy caring for donkeys so please dispose of all trash in the proper containers.
PLEASE NOTE ON RAIN Donkeys are not waterproof, so if the weather should turn sour we will announce a rain date. For more questions contact: info@purpledonkey.com
